Like everyone else, I haven’t yet digested the long-awaited interview with Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, so this is off the top of my head. It doesn’t look like Kamala’s problem with “word salad” has improved much. We knew that Kamala was going to get a lot of help from CNN. The sit-down with Dana Bash today wasn’t live. It’s an edited, prerecorded interview, complete with the “second man” in tow for moral support. And she is still incoherent.
If Dana Bash was an attorney in a courtroom, the opposition would have objected for leading the witness. “How should voters look at some of the changes that you’ve made?” Bash asked. “Is it because you have more experience now and you’ve learned more about the information? Is it because you were running for president in a Democratic primary? And should they feel comfortable and confident that what you’re saying now is going to be your policy moving forward?”
Well, when you put it like that, Dana! “I think the most important and most significant aspect of my policy perspective and decisions is my values have not changed,” Harris said. “You mentioned the Green New Deal. I have always believed – and I have worked on it – that the climate crisis is real, that it is an urgent matter to which we should apply metrics that include holding ourselves to deadlines around time.”
Let’s try that again. “. . . to which we should apply metrics that include holding ourselves to deadlines around time.” Hmmm. Don’t most deadlines have a little something to do with time?
Kamala touted the Inflation Reduction Act in the interview. That would be the enormous spending bill that we had to print money to implement, which created, not reduced, inflation and the hideous prices we are paying in the grocery, at the gasoline pump and to our landlords. She didn’t just support that monstrosity, she cast the tie-breaking vote in the Senate as vice-president and president pro tem of the Senate.
Kamala is so proud of the boondoggle Inflation Reduction Act, especially of sections that provided record investments in her green-new-deal. “We have set goals for the United States of America and by extension, the globe, around when we should meet certain standards for reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, as an example. That value has not changed,” she said. No, unfortunately, it sure hasn’t.
Then she circled back to the softball that Dana tossed her, “My values have not changed. So that is the reality of it. And four years of being vice president, I’ll tell you, one of the aspects, to your point, is traveling the country extensively,” she said. “I believe it is important to build consensus, and it is important to find a common place of understanding of where we can actually solve problems.”
I just slapped my forehead.
Kamala Harris isn’t just inarticulate. She will say or do anything to get elected. This is the woman who refused to visit the border, even once, for 3 ½ years after being dubbed the “border czar” in the Biden/Harris administration. Their border policy hasn’t just left border communities struggling to handle the flood of migrants coming across that southern border. The national news is reporting that Venezuelan gangs have taken over three, multi-story apartment buildings IN AURORA, COLORADO.
That’s not a border town, folks. Criminals and terrorists are coming in and holding guns to the heads of management staff in large apartment buildings, then breaking into individual residences and “collecting rent.” We have been invaded. There is no other word for it. Foreign governments are opening their prisons and sending their most vicious criminals to the United States.
What has Kamala done for anyone but Kamala . . . and what will Kamala do if the American people are foolish enough to let that woman anywhere near the White House? The answer is nothing and nothing. She has never managed anything. She has never signed the front side of an employee check. She has lived off her parents and then the taxpayers her entire life. She has produced nothing, contributed nothing, and lied through her teeth about it.
And there you have the Biden/Harris team in a nutshell – government leeches. Neither Harris nor Biden ever worked in the private sector, out in the real world. But Biden at least enjoyed the affection of the government workers he surrounded himself with. Harris can’t keep a staff. She is generally known as an arrogant bully in the workplace. I’ve watched her in Senate committees and the debate stage, and I believe it!
So, I do hope that hardworking Democrats come off the post-convention high, and do the research.
